Maryse Matta is an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) and a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) with a distinctive professional trajectory that has taken her from project management to currently pursuing a Ph.D. in leadership. In addition, she lectures graduate students and acts as a coach and advisor to leaders in management positions from several industry sectors including aerospace, finance and banking, architecture, and design. Born in Egypt, educated in French and now living in Canada, she possesses a cross-cultural sensitivity and understanding of the human spirit in all its forms. Being a lifelong learner has taken her from an architecture undergrad to currently a Ph.D. candidate in servant leadership. Coaching and leadership development came as a calling to Maryse to encourage high-achieving individuals to be fully engaged and present in all aspects of their lives.
While most leadership perspectives are purely performance driven and goal oriented, Maryse’s philosophy is deeply rooted in the belief that leadership comes from ownership and directed focus. Her study and practice of servant leadership is one that puts responsibility back to the individual, with each decision dictating our actions, along with how our perceptions are malleable and can be changed with the support of trusted professionals. Maryse understands that developing the capacity to rise following adversity, listening to inner wisdom, along with the willingness to listen and question deeply are the foundations that support leaders as they navigate through our volatile, uncertain and often chaotic and ambiguous world.
Maryse is based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
