Goal

When leaders commit to building a Star Team, it comes with the responsibility of clearing the way for learning, innovation, and growth to occur for all leaders in the workplace. People learn when they can speak with candor, own their decisions, and claim their thoughts, opinions, and viewpoints as their own. They support innovation when they can engage in intellectual sparing, build on the ideas of others, and know that it is safe to fail. Last, they grow when they feel care and compassion as well as a sense of belongingness from their colleagues and manager.

Approach

We facilitate the understanding of what is required by each leader to reach a level of optimal team functioning. A coaching approach is used to increase ownership in one’s development and learning, and we combine this with the psychology of optimal organizational functioning to turn insights into action.

Key Competencies

  • Learn how to build a star team by putting into action the five characteristics of Trust, Interpersonal Risk, Tender Conversations, Accountability, & Collaboration
  • Practice noticing four ways of Listening to people and appreciate paying attention to Timely Speech.
  • Learn the skills for questioning based on a selected way of listening and engaging in conversation with the notion of timely speech
  • Recognize the power of “state of being” when providing compassionate feedback and dealing with difficult situation.
