As we transition into November and the fourth quarter, we aim to carry forward the vital conversations about mental health highlighted throughout October. While Mental Health Awareness Month may be behind us, the insights we gained remain essential as we navigate the unique challenges of this time of year, from year-end deadlines to holiday preparations. Our focus remains on applying the lessons of self-care, open dialogue, and seeking professional support to manage stress and set realistic expectations as we approach the new year. Let’s embrace this opportunity to prioritize mental wellness alongside our personal and professional goals, ensuring that we support ourselves and one another through the busy months ahead.

Stefano Di Lollo - "To release tension, I prioritize disconnecting, even for brief moments—whether between meetings, midday, or even at the end of the workday—by engaging in activities unrelated to work that demand my full presence and focus. The specific activity varies from person to person, but for me, it often involves artistic expression. Unlike listening to music, which doesn’t require full focus, spending 10 to 15 minutes painting or drawing allows me to tune out the noise and reset my mind, bringing a mindfulness similar to meditation. I started this habit during the pandemic and have continued it because it’s such an effective way to relieve tension. I encourage others to explore which fully engaging activities might work best for them. Certainly, it doesn’t have to be artistic expression for everyone—and that’s perfectly fine. The bonus? The outcome of your tension-releasing activity might surprise you—not only in terms of its positive impact on your mental health but also in what you accomplish."
