Supporting a community, supporting access to education
Since 2013, Papillon MDC, along with other organizations, individuals and volunteers from Canada and West Africa, have united their efforts to support a common mission: the Sainte-Anne-du-Lac Community School in Sô-Ava, Benin. It is a citizen initiative with the goal to allow the community’s children access to education through the construction of library, an activity center and a school. Supporting the school project means supporting a community that is lacking adequate educational infrastructures. The construction is a team effort between volunteers and the children’s parents who lend their own hands in building a better future for their youngsters.
